From Easter to late October, Kerners Kayak club offers various options for getting out on the water in a sheltered environment that perfect for sea kayaking: the Gulf of Morbihan in southern Brittany. In summer, training courses for children and adults are also organised.
Bruno Blancho and his team of qualified instructors provide kayaking at two centres, at the Pointe de Kerners in Arzon and the port of Le Logeo, on the Rhuys peninsula. On the itinerary: guided trips (1 hr 30 mins), and for the really sporty, half-day or full-day circuits. Children aged from 10 years can kayak on their own as long as they can swim. Kerners Kayak club also offers group packages and training courses throughout the summer on request. A real ‘inland sea’ the Gulf of Morbihan will suit all levels of kayakers. “It’s also a site that is sheltered from the wind, meaning that we hardly ever have to cancel sessions even when there are strong winds” adds Bruno Blancho, club manager.
